Donations

As you know, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing our members with news and insight. We gladly accept and appreciate any and all donations as it allows us to continue helping our fellow veterans.

Donations may be sent via check or money order to:

Vietnam Veterans of America Thomas P. Coughlin Chapter 72
800 Poly Place Room 5-219 Brooklyn, NY 11209-7104

With your donations, we have made the following possible:

Donated to our VVA brothers and sisters down South who have been affected by the horrendous storms, most recently to the VVA North Carolina State Council.

In addition, Chapter 72 Board Member Paul Friedman has been a major part of Team Rubicon’s response, deploying 3 times to Georgia in the past few months.

In December, VVA 72 provided food, soft drinks and gifts of hats and sweatshirts to the veterans rehabilitating in the locked rehab ward of the Brooklyn VAMC.

Purchased these same gifts for the 48 veterans at the SUS Homeless Veterans Shelter in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Purchased art supplies for the Recreation Therapy Department, and cold weather clothing to be distributed to hospitalized and homeless veterans by VAVS/CDCE.

We connected the DeVito Watson Foundation(one of our sponsors) with VAVS/CDCE and they have also been purchasing clothing for these veterans.

For the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week, VVA 72 and VFW 107 on February 14th purchased and distributed pizza for all the veteran patients in the Brooklyn VAMC. This includes in-patients and those veterans spending the day there for dialysis and chemo.

Every May, we contribute the New Mom Veterans. We gift various items perfect for new mothers and ship out giftboxes.
